Ischemic Stroke Conference


The 2018 Acute Ischemic Stroke Conference will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Hudson Valley Community College – Bulmer Telecommunications Center – 80 Vandenburgh Avenue, Troy, NY 12180 from 7:45 am to 2pm.

The 2018 Acute Ischemic Stroke Conference will review the latest concepts in the management of ischemic stroke. The goal is to provide the practitioner with knowledge of accurate diagnosis and treatment of ischemic stroke, including treatment options for both primary and secondary stroke prevention. Case presentations will review individual patient assessment and decision for treatment, emphasizing the latest evidence-based advanced treatments. 

A nursing breakout session will be held in the afternoon with Allison Goodell, RN, MS, ACNS-BC, CNRN discussing stroke symptoms in the hospitalized patient.

This course will meet 50% of the annual stroke education requirement for practitioners and clinicians at New York State Certified Primary Stroke Centers.

This course is designed for primary care physician, emergency medicine physicians, neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, occupational and physical therapists and EMS providers.  Interested allied health providers are welcome to attend.
