Notice of Public Hearing
In accordance with New York State Public Health Law, the Mountain Lakes Regional EMS Council would like to inform you of a public hearing relative to an application for an Advanced Life Support First Response (ALSFR) Certificate of Need (CON,) which has been submitted to our Council, by the County of Franklin. Franklin County First Response Agency has been operational for approximately two years under a Municipal CON, most recently as at the paramedic level. Their application is for permanent operating authority as an ALSFR agency in Franklin County. The hearing is open to all and will be held on September 16, 2019, commencing at 11am, at the following location:

Please note that the New York State EMS Council and the Department of Health Bureau of EMS and Trauma Systems define public need as:
The demonstrated absence, reduced availability or an inadequate level of care in ambulance or emergency medical service available to a geographical area which is not readily correctable through the reallocation or improvement of existing resources.
