Merger of Program Agencies!

Merger of Program Agencies!

Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization North Country EMS, and Mountain Lakes Regional EMS Council, Inc. are excited to announce they are leading through action by completing a merger of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program Agency services, which will ensure long-term support for EMS within the counties of Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, Essex, Warren and Washington, an area that encompasses much of the Adirondack Park and Fort Drum area.

This ground-breaking collaborative effort, which begins July 1, 2022, will result in each Region continuing to be served by their respective Regional EMS Councils (REMSCOs) and Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committees (REMACs). FDRHPO will support both REMSCOs and REMACs by utilizing their robust resources and shared services. Mountain Lakes Regional EMS Council, Inc. will continue to serve the Mountain Lakes Region as a New York State EMS Course Sponsor, Specialty Course Sponsor, and American Heart Association Training Center. Below are some key points and information, which may answer frequently asked questions.
